Piano Moving

We've partnered with Larsen Transfer to move pianos all over Eastern Washington.

Professional Piano Moving—Free With Purchase of a Piano

Pianos are large, complicated, and delicate instruments. It takes a great deal of skill and the right equipment to safely move a piano, which is why Tri-City Music has teamed up with a local piano moving company (Larsen Transfer) to offer free local, standard delivery with every piano purchase. We value our customers and want to make sure their investment is taken care of—even after you leave our store.

PREPARING YOUR HOME FOR A NEW PIANO

Congratulations! You’ve just made a great investment by purchasing a piano from Tri-City Music. Here are a few things you’ll want to take care of before your piano arrives:

  • Plan the route the piano movers will take to get the piano inside your home.

  • Measure any doorways and move any furniture or clutter that might get in the way of the movers.

  • Clean the floor where the piano will be placed.

MOVING WITH A PIANO

If you already have a piano and need to have it moved, we still recommend that you hire a professional piano moving service. Pianos are extremely heavy (hundreds of pounds) and awkwardly-shaped. They are also fragile and have many parts that can easily break if not handled correctly.

Without the right equipment and padding, a piano can very easily be damaged in transport.  Simply put, it is just not a good idea to move a piano without professional help from a piano moving company.

We work directly with and highly recommend Larsen Transfer, a professional, licensed, bonded, and insured moving and storage company. Contact Larsen Transfer at (509) 943-9139.
